Energy Recovery Ventilation Systems

IAQ

RenewAire offers a wide selection of Energy Recovery Ventilation systems, or ERVs. ERVs use static-plate enthalpy core technology, creating an air-to-air exchange of energy. During summer, the warm and humid outdoor air is precooled and dehumidified using the total energy from the cool indoor air being exhausted. In winter, the cold and dry outdoor air is preheated and humidified using the energy from the warm indoor air being released. As a result, less energy is required for heating, cooling, and ventilation, allowing for HVAC systems to be downsized. Internally, multiple plates made of an engineered resin-like material separate the different airstreams to ensure there is no contamination during the transferring process. These plates simultaneously transfer heat through conduction and humidity by attracting bound water vapor from one airstream to the other, while also moderating extremes in both temperature and humidity.

Residential ERVs:

SL Series: Single/multi-family home ERVs with a four-duct design (30-130 CFM)

BR Series: Residential ERVs with a two-duct design (40-140 CFM)

EV Series: Residential and light commercial ERVs with a four-duct design (30-390 CFM)

GR Series: Contractor-grade ERVs with hard-wired power often used for multi-family units—four-duct design (40-110 CFM)

Commercial ERVs:

HE Series: Commercial ERVs—packaged solutions (166-8,800 CFM)

LE Sereis: Commercial ERVs—large capacity (1,500-11,000 CFM)

EV Commercial Series: Light commercial ERVs—four-duct design (200-540 CFM)
